More or Less

I love to read all that you write! I wish I could really give the trip away....... Okay, another challenge. I hope you'll be brave and take this on. I want every challenge I give out to be fun for you, and if you make an honest effort to contribute, that's it.... you get an A. (Yep, you can tell your mom that; ask her to count it somehow :)

Today, I want you to write a short comparison / contrast piece. Think about 2 pets, 2 uncles, 2 trees in your yard, 2 books you've read, 2 ways you've schooled, 2 outfits, 2 books you've read, 2 of ANYTHING. But choose your topic, and as with any writing task, you've done the hardest part.
Next, think about ways those 2 _________s are alike, and how they are different. And tell us. Use 5 - 10 sentences. Don't stress over it, just give it a try and see what happens. Waiting to read!

umm...
Paper and wallabies and very alike. How are they, you will ask? (that's 2...I mean, 3 sentences.) I will tell you. Just for starters, paper has been indescribably useful to mankind for generations upon generations, and so have wallabies. They were used in the 700's as a sort of prehistoric Pony Express. Only you had to not really care where your mail went to. People used the Wallaby Express mainly for sending general letters of goodwill addressed to all of mankind. Or whatever particular kind of man your letter eventually got to. This is why there was absolutely no war or sadness back then. Can you imagine getting a letter of general goodwill from a wallaby? Would you want to hurt anybody after that? No, you would not. And how are paper and wallabies un...alike? Well, that is for you to know and me to find out.

Living in Leasburg, NC would seem to have nothing in common with living in Dallas, Tx. After all, Dallas is a huge city, while Leasburg is a small town. Dallas is much more crowded with people, houses, businesses, and traffic than is rural Leasburg, where I've only heard two ambulance sirens in thirteen years. I see more gravel roads, horses and deer in Leasburg than I did in Dallas. And yet, despite those differences, the two locations have several things in common. They have similar climates, though they are so far apart: hot summers and mildly cold, sometimes snowy, winters. There are fun things to do in each area. And, there are wonderful people living in each of these lucky places.

Two Children - one boy and one girl. Both precious in the Lord's sight, hard to imagine He loves them more that me! One sandy blonde boy who is laid back, one red head little girl who has the strong will to go with it. One is named after two grandparents, one is named after a waitress we met long ago and a dear friend who passed away several years ago. Both children's 'I Love You' will melt your heart! His favorite foods are fruit and popsicles and hers are pizza and mushrooms. Both love for us to read books together and both love to talk!!!!

Ben, you are a big tease to your mother. :) Liked your story though - never thought about a wallaby quite that way but now my mind is opened .. ..Maybe we need a Veggie Tales song about a wallaby. Sing it for us Ben.

Grandchildren to your own children:
With my own children I was concerned about appearance - outward as well as behavioral. Grandchildren, I couldn't tell you what they are wearing or if they threw a fit, all I see is a precious gift from God.
My children, I was very serious about spiritual growth and intentions of the heart. Can we say magnifying glass? Grandchildren, I know they are young and immature and will be just fine.
What is better then to pull them close and talk to their heart?
Similarities, I would give my life for them. I pray for them every night. God has knit them both to my heart.
17:6 Children's children are a crown to the aged ..
MAR 10:16 And he took the children in his arms, put his hands on them and blessed them.

My horses and I are very much alike. Though I do not eat grass and have four legs, we are alike in the fact that we both dislike to work. When I go out to catch them they like to run away because they don't like to work. Sometimes, when I hear my mom calling me I feel like running and hiding. However, sometimes what we are running from is, in fact, a juicy carrot or a candybar from the store. The only way to tell is to have a heart and mind that is willing to work.
