Garden Musings, in February

It can be .....

a declaration of love or some other feeling or state of mind...

a marriage proposal...

a math or logic problem...

an observation...

a poem or song, or neither...

something that rhymes, or doesn't....

a question or riddle...

long or short....

profound wisdom....

sheer fun....

But it HAS to contain 4, 8, 12, 16 (multiples of 4) lines....

It HAS to be original (except where it obviously isn't, if that makes any sense)...,

and
It HAS to start with these two words:

"Roses are...."

Have fun.

Oh, and Happy Heart Day.

  2. Roses are red
    Snow is white
    We like to sled
    and have snowball fights.

Well, we woke up this morning
    at ten till nine,
    We looked out the window
    and saw the sun shine
    on the blanket of white
    that covered the pines.
A special Valentine from Someone above:
Our heavenly Father whose name is love.

    Roses are red
    Snow is white
    He rose from the dead
    to give us life!

  3. Roses are red
    Sometimes they're yellow
    They can be white
    Pinned on a fellow.

    Red is for love
    Yellow marks friendship
    White stands for pure
And I need to work on my rhyming. -_-

  4. "Memories are roses gathered in Winter" (Ok, so it's not original and i'm not even sure it's quoted correctly, but it's one of my favorite sayings.

  5. oh, sorry. here we go.

    Roses are red,
    Violets are purple
    Amethyst, will you marry me?
I, uh, love you as much as Slurpees.

    Just not more.
    What else rhymes with purple?

  6. Here is another one since this is such a good assignment.

    Roses are coal
    In a diamond mine
    Something will happen
    If you give 'em time

    (I'm not really sure
    What that poem meant
    But an elephant's faithful
    One hundred percent)
